Two club-run naturist campsites share the Morbihan: one on the coast, between Belz and Erdeven, the other inland, near Lorient. Both rely heavily on the volunteer work of their members.
On the boundary of the towns of Belz and Erdeven, La Pinède is a 2-star campsite opened in 1971, run by the Club Naturiste de Bretagne Sud (CNBS). Its 100 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents are spread across a wooded setting, 6 km from the naturist beach of Kerminihy, in the town of Erdeven, accessible by car or bike via cycle paths. Affiliated with the Fédération française de naturisme since its creation, the campsite formalised its charter in 2012 around self-respect, respect for others and the environment; an FFN or FNI licence, sold at reception, is required for the season. The campsite is open from 1 May to 13 September, with sanitary facilities adapted for people with reduced mobility and daily activities: archery, petanque, a Sunday cycling outing in summer and a weekly hiking trip, all the way to the islands of the nearby gulf.
Les Bruyères d'Arvor, in the hamlet of Keranstumeau, has been run since 1966 by the Association Naturiste Morbihannaise (ANM), which will celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of its site in 2026. Across 7 hectares of woods and clearings, around thirty pitches and four bungalows welcome campers in a simple, friendly spirit, far from major infrastructure. An FFN or FNI licence is required to stay there, but membership itself remains optional for passing visitors. With no permanent staff, the campsite only opens in season, from mid-June to mid-September.
For direct access to a naturist beach and a well-stocked programme of activities, La Pinède, on the coast, suits best. For a more club-based, low-key stay, in a wooded setting near Lorient, Les Bruyères d'Arvor relies on simplicity. Both establishments require an FFN or FNI licence and practise naturism only in season: it's worth checking dates before booking.
From this campsite, the weekday hike organised with a club member leads all the way to the islands of the Gulf of Morbihan, while the Sunday cycling outing, in July and August, uncovers chapels, fountains and megaliths of the Erdeven area, on the doorstep of Carnac country. Belle-Île, Auray with its port of Saint-Goustan, or Vannes with its medieval centre, round out the possible visits in southern Brittany, with bike hire shops based in Erdeven.
Around Les Bruyères d'Arvor, in Cléguer, the Blavet valley is ideal for hiking and cycling along its towpath, between Hennebont and Inzinzac-Lochrist. The thatched village of Poul-Fétan, in Quistinic, offers visits centred on traditional Breton crafts, and Lorient, with its beaches at Fort-Bloqué, Ploemeur and Larmor-Plage, as well as the citadel of Port-Louis, can be reached in around twenty minutes by car.
Every for naturists campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
