Everything about the campsites for naturists in Essonne

Essonne has two naturist campsites, both less than an hour from Paris, in the south of the department: a 7-hectare forest at the heart of the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park, and a historic club founded in 1958 near Étréchy.

The Club du Soleil de l'Essonne, in the Gâtinais

In D'Huison-Longueville, the Club du Soleil de l'Essonne occupies a 7-hectare forest and offers a two-pool swimming area, the main pool of which was built by volunteers in 1968 and 1969. Between 2021 and 2023, members built a wastewater treatment system unique in France, whose water ranks among the purest in Île-de-France according to the regional health authority (ARS). Affiliated with the Fédération Française de Naturisme, it also welcomes day visitors without a licence. The small pool reserved for children, the play area (swing, playhouse) and free loan of sports equipment (balls, rackets) round out the site's amenities; wifi is available on request, except for video use. The GR1 and GR111 hiking trails start right at the campsite exit.

Les Hespérides, a historic club in Étréchy

In Étréchy, Les Hespérides occupies 3.3 hectares near the upper Juine valley. Founded in 1958 by Lucien Auzias, it is one of the oldest naturist clubs in Île-de-France, becoming a 1901-law association in 1977. The estate, run by members year-round, reserves seven pitches for visitors, in addition to caravans, a chalet and a gypsy caravan available for nightly rental. A pool with a beach area, a sauna at weekends and a club life punctuated by themed evenings all year round round out the offering; wifi remains accessible at the pool and reception, and dogs are tolerated on their member owner's pitch.

Choosing a naturist campsite in Essonne

For a large wooded site, with a two-pool swimming area and hiking right on site, the Club du Soleil de l'Essonne fits the bill. For an immersion in a historic club-based association, with communal life and varied accommodation, Les Hespérides suits better. Both establishments lie less than an hour's drive from Paris, require an FFN licence except for a first day visit, and accept pets under certain conditions.
