Three establishments are split between Essonne and Val-de-Marne, all accessible in under an hour from the capital.
In the Gâtinais français, a large wooded site relies on its two-pool swimming area and a wastewater treatment system unique in France. Near Étréchy, a club founded in 1958 keeps a club-based structure, with accommodation available for nightly rental.
In Villecresnes, in the Bois d'Auteuil, the Club Gymnique de France has gathered around 200 members since its founding in 1930: it is the department's only establishment and the closest to the capital, under 30 minutes away by car. Reserved for licence holders (or with a federation ticket for a first visit), the 13-hectare estate has a heated pool, petanque, tennis, volleyball and badminton courts, a sauna and a trampoline. With no catering on site, it has a friendly refreshment stand, 'la Nuvette', and a market is held twice a week in the neighbouring village. The club is explicit about its family spirit: any inappropriate behaviour results in permanent exclusion.
In the Essonne Gâtinais, a pool reserved for children and a play area complement the main pool, and two long-distance hiking trails start at the exit of the site. In Villecresnes, the roughly 25-metre pool is ideal for swimming throughout the season, between sunny areas and shaded spots near the pitches; an archery competition, open to day visitors, and an annual petanque tournament punctuate the summer, along with themed evenings organised at the refreshment stand.
For a spacious forest with two pools, head to the Essonne Gâtinais. For a historic club-based association with accommodation to rent, Étréchy suits better. To stay as close to Paris as possible, with public transport, the Val-de-Marne club remains the region's only option at that distance. Each department page details its establishments, their facilities and their surroundings.
From the Essonne Gâtinais, the Cerny-La Ferté-Alais airfield and its aviation museum, as well as the Étampes leisure centre and Chamarande castle, round out a day trip, as does the upper Juine valley, a Natura 2000 site, near Étréchy. A riding centre also lies a few kilometres from the Gâtinais, for horse riding enthusiasts, and fishing is possible at a pond not far from Étréchy.
In Villecresnes, the village market is held on Thursday and Sunday mornings, and a supermarket is 15 minutes' walk from the club. Paris, accessible by public transport, combines easily with a stay at one of the region's three naturist campsites, to alternate club-based calm with cultural outings, without needing to take the car from Villecresnes.
Every for naturists campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
