Everything about the campsites for naturists in Gironde

Gironde brings together four naturist campsites with very different profiles, including three of the largest naturist villages in Europe. Three of them sit on the Atlantic coast with direct access to a naturist beach, the fourth in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers vineyards.

On the coast: three naturist villages by the Atlantic Ocean

On the Médoc peninsula, Euronat in Grayan-et-l’Hôpital spreads over 335 hectares of pine forest and has 1.5 km of naturist beach, an indoor pool, a lagoon and a thalassotherapy centre. A few kilometres further south, CHM Monta in Vendays-Montalivet claims the title of first naturist village in Europe: founded in 1950, it covers 200 hectares by the ocean, with 2 km of naturist beach and a covered water park.

Closer to the Arcachon basin, La Jenny in Le Porge welcomes holidaymakers in 756 individual chalets spread over 127 hectares of pine forest. The naturist village of La Jenny stands out for its naturist golf course and a 1,000 m² pool. All three establishments are rated 4 stars and welcome families, with kids’ clubs and entertainment in season.

Inland: a peaceful stay among the vineyards

In Frontenac, Château Guiton offers a very different experience: 30 spacious pitches around a former 18th-century wine estate, a pool at the foot of the manor house and a peaceful atmosphere reserved for adults and couples. Rated 3 stars, it lies 2 km from the Roger Lapébie cycle path, which leads to Bordeaux.

Accommodation, facilities and pets

The range of accommodation varies greatly from one site to another. CHM Monta has around 3,000 pitches and accommodation units: bungalows, mobile homes, studios, furnished tents, tiny houses and camping pitches. At La Jenny, the 756 chalets for 2 to 6 people are spread across 14 categories and two comfort levels. Euronat rents out studios, chalets, villas and mobile homes, in addition to pitches for tents, caravans or motorhomes. At Château Guiton, the 30 pitches measure between 150 and 250 m².

In terms of facilities, the coastal villages combine heated pools, paddling areas for children, shops and sports activities. Pets are welcome at Euronat, on a lead and only on the north beach, and at La Jenny in equipped chalets, but not at the pool or on the supervised beach.

Choosing a naturist campsite in Gironde

For a naturist family holiday by the sea, the three coastal villages offer the most services: shops, restaurants, heated pools, pitches and chalet or mobile home accommodation. For a more intimate naturist stay as a couple, Château Guiton relies on peace and quiet and a vineyard setting. Check opening dates and availability with each establishment: the season generally runs from spring to early autumn.

What to see and do in Gironde

Between pine forest and the Atlantic Ocean, the Gironde coast alternates fine sandy beaches, dunes and pine forests, ideal for hiking and cycling. The naturist villages of the Médoc are linked to Soulac-sur-Mer and Montalivet by cycle paths, and the tip of the peninsula opens onto the estuary and the Cordouan lighthouse. In summer, the markets of Montalivet and Soulac, along with the night markets of neighbouring villages, set the pace for the evenings, while the Médoc wine route leads to Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe and Margaux.

To the south, from Le Porge, Cap Ferret and the Arcachon basin are within easy reach, as is the Dune du Pilat. Inland, Entre-Deux-Mers and the Bordeaux vineyards invite visits to châteaux, and Bordeaux itself remains within cycling distance via the Roger Lapébie path.

our method

How we select the campsites in this localisation

1

A verified criterion, not a promise

Every for naturists campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.

2

Reputation, backed by reviews

We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.

3

Direct booking, transparent pricing

You book directly with the campsite, no middleman or hidden markup. The price shown is the price you pay.
