Haute-Vienne has two naturist campsites, both in the heart of the Limousin: the Espace Naturiste de Bos-Redon, an association-run site near Limoges, and Lous Suais, on the shore of Lake Maulde.
The Espace Naturiste de Bos-Redon, at Bussière-Galant, is an association-run site affiliated with the FFN, managed by the Club du Soleil de Limoges. Over 8 hectares, including a natural pond, the campsite preserves an old Limousin farmhouse and its bread oven. Passing campers are welcomed from 1 July to 31 August, and pool outings are organised in Limoges and Saint-Junien for club members. Its guests rate it 4.8 out of 5.
Lous Suais, at Cheissoux, rated 4 stars and scored 4.9 out of 5, occupies nearly 7 hectares on the shore of Lake Maulde, between two dams. This mixed naturist campsite welcomes couples as well as single men and single women. Swimming, pedal boating, paddleboarding and kayaking are all practised directly from the campsite. Lous Suais's chalets are rented out year-round, beyond the summer season alone.
For an association-based, sociable stay, close to Limoges, the Espace Naturiste de Bos-Redon suits lovers of naturism amid unspoilt nature, in an authentic Limousin farmhouse. For a stay by the water, with water sports and chalets available year-round, Lous Suais, rated 4 stars, offers more comfort. The two campsites in Haute-Vienne are located in the heart of the Limousin, between lakes and forests, a few dozen kilometres apart. Before booking, check each establishment's admission conditions, association-based or not, as well as the opening season.
Limoges, capital of the fire arts, is worth visiting for its Saint-Étienne cathedral, the Évêché gardens and the Boucherie district, as well as for its porcelain workshops, renowned the world over. To the west of the département, the martyred village of Oradour-sur-Glane, left unchanged since 1944, is visited in memory of the victims of the massacre carried out by a unit of the SS Das Reich division.
From Cheissoux, Lake Vassivière, one of the largest man-made lakes in France, lies on the border between Haute-Vienne and Creuse: its island is home to a contemporary art centre, reachable on foot or by boat. Fishing, sailing and hiking are all practised around the lake, in a hilly, wooded landscape typical of the Limousin.
Every for naturists campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
