The Domaine Résidentiel Naturiste de La Jenny is located at Le Porge, in the Gironde, between the Arcachon Bay and Lacanau, around 60 kilometres from Bordeaux. The village borders the Atlantic Ocean directly, with access to a naturist beach stretching as far as the eye can see. Bordeaux Saint-Jean railway station and Bordeaux-Mérignac airport are both just over 50 kilometres away, with taxi or ride-hailing connections to the estate.
Across 127 hectares of pine forest, La Jenny brings together around 756 chalets spread over 14 categories, sleeping 2 to 6 people, in two comfort levels, Standard and Plus. Standard chalets are well-kept, fully equipped accommodation, while Plus chalets benefit from recent renovations and high-end bedding. The village is rated 4 stars.
At La Jenny, nudity is the rule and strongly encouraged throughout the estate; staying dressed without a weather-related reason is seen as a lack of respect towards other holidaymakers. The estate is approved by the Fédération Française de Naturisme, which can issue a membership card on site.
The estate is home to the only naturist golf course in the world, a 6-hole course officially recognised by the FFGolf since April 2021, as well as a 1,000 m² water area with 4 pools heated to 25 degrees. Access to the golf course is reserved for holidaymakers and estate owners.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Nudity is the rule and strongly encouraged throughout the estate. Staying dressed without a weather-related reason is not in the spirit of the place, in keeping with the naturist charter.”
The village has several shops at its heart: a Spar mini-market with fresh bread every morning, French and foreign press, a general store, a butcher, a fishmonger, a hairdresser and a laundrette. The Eden restaurant, by the pool, offers traditional seasonal cooking and pizzas, while the La Jenny bar serves tapas, sharing boards and burgers during the day.
The 1,000 m² water area, heated to 25 degrees, includes 4 pools. Ivanie Bien-être, covering 140 m², offers 3 treatment cabins, a cabin for body treatments, a sauna and a relaxation area: massages, facials, hair removal and slimming treatments.
Bikes, classic or electric, can be hired by the day or the week. Each chalet is equipped with blankets and pillows; sheets and towels are available to rent, as are a cot, a high chair, a baby bath and a sun lounger.
Animals are welcome in the chalets specially set up for them, on presentation of a vaccination record; however, they are not allowed at the pool, the golf course or the supervised part of the beach.
The “Pass Animation”, compulsory from age 3, gives access to the full programme: sports activities, workshops, shows and concerts. Golf, tennis, archery, outdoor yoga, aqua gym and zumba punctuate the days, with a dedicated club for children and a space for teenagers.
The naturist golf course, the only one in the world, offers a 6-hole course through the dunes and under the pines, with individual lessons, group courses Monday to Friday and a free taster session every Sunday at 3pm. A driving range with 10 covered bays and 12 outdoor bays completes the facilities.
In the evening, the centre of the village comes alive with live concerts, disco nights and weekly shows on the bar-restaurant terrace. The golf club house offers a themed meal every week (paella, aïoli), oyster tastings and musical evenings.
Less than 20 minutes away, the Arcachon Bay reveals its stilt huts, the Île aux Oiseaux and the Dune du Pilat. Bordeaux, a Unesco World Heritage site, and the Saint-Émilion vineyard can be visited on a day trip.
