Domaine des Lauzons is located in Limans, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, about 7 km from Forcalquier and at the foot of the Montagne de Lure. Set in a rolling valley planted with oaks, junipers, thyme and lavender, this naturist campsite covers several dozen hectares of Provençal meadows and hills, in the heart of the Pays de Forcalquier, between the Luberon and the Valensole plateau.
Rated 4 stars, the estate has 111 camping and caravan pitches, split between the Nature, Privilège and King-Size ranges, and 52 rental accommodations: Ophéa mobile homes, Duo, Quatro and Titom chalets, a chalet fitted out for reduced mobility, furnished tent lodges and a caravan for two people. The heart of the estate is built around a 17th-century Provençal farmhouse, which houses the restaurant and bar, just steps from the pools.
Naturism as practised at the Lauzons is family-oriented: only naturist guests are admitted, and natural dress is required for the whole family whenever the weather allows. The estate is affiliated with the Fédération Française de Naturisme. The philosophy embraced on site favours simplicity, authenticity of the setting and human connection over an overloaded entertainment programme.
The 2026 season runs from 25 April to 26 September. The restaurant closes around 15 September, with a weekly closing day on Mondays, and the bar opens in early June. Check-in for rental accommodation is from 4.30pm, and from 2pm on pitches.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Only naturist guests are admitted; whenever the weather allows, natural dress is required for the whole family.”
The bar-restaurant of Domaine des Lauzons occupies a 17th-century Provençal farmhouse: Provençal cuisine served in the evening in season, with a weekly closing day on Mondays and a general closure around mid-September. From mid-May, the bar also offers takeaway pizzas and chips, open until midnight in peak season.
A grocery shop operates from May to mid-September, with a daily morning drop-off of bread and pastries and a few essential items. A gift shop rounds out the offering, with Provençal lavender products. The estate also has 4 toilet blocks with showers, toilets, laundry and dishwashing sinks, a laundry with 2 machines and a library with free book lending.
For relaxation, a free sauna is available from May, four days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) from 4pm to 6pm, and massages are offered indoors or outdoors. Wi-Fi is chargeable and covers most of the site, now via fibre optic. Rental of bed linen, towel kits and baby equipment, optional end-of-stay cleaning and fridge rental for pitches round out the services.
The water park comprises three pools: a large, heated circular pool, accessible from May, a paddling pool and slides, open in July and August. Access to the slides is limited from 3pm to 6pm, to reserve the pool for swimmers in the morning. Large lawns shaded by weeping willows surround the pools, with sun loungers available.
The Lauzons offer a range of sporting and recreational activities included in the stay price: a boules pitch and petanque court, a table-tennis table (bring your own bats), table football, a multi-sport pitch and two play areas, including an inflatable one. Hiking trails set off directly from the surrounding Provençal countryside, towards the nearby Luberon.
In peak season (weeks 28 to 33), the estate offers an entertainment programme posted near reception: music evenings, foam parties, children’s shows, an enchanted carousel, sculpture workshops and communal meals. Children also have a dedicated area for creative workshops. Concerts are held outdoors in the evening, in a friendly atmosphere among holidaymakers.
The Pays de Forcalquier – Montagne de Lure, between wide pastoral spaces and lavender fields, invites hiking and discovery: the Forcalquier producers’ market is held on Thursdays, 7 km from the campsite. The Colorado provençal de Rustrel, a former ochre quarry resembling a canyon, is around 39 km away, along marked trails suited to families.
Bike rental companies offer marked routes starting from Forcalquier, including towards the villages of Pierrerue and Niozelles or in a loop towards Villeneuve, as well as more challenging rides towards the summit of the Montagne de Lure. Further south, the Valensole plateau and its lavender fields round out the possible excursions from the estate.
Open from 25 April to 26 September 2026.
