Overview

The Bos Redon site is the naturist site of the Club du Soleil de Limoges (CSL), an association affiliated with the Fédération Française de Naturisme (FFN). It is located at the hamlet of Brumas, in the town of Bussière-Galant, in the Haute-Vienne.

The partly wooded site covers 8 hectares, around a third of which is dedicated to camping and outdoor activities practised in complete nudity. An old Limousin farmhouse, with its old bread oven, serves as a reception and leisure room; a large wooden bungalow, the ‘Georgio’, acts as the association’s communal home year-round. A sanitary building built by members and two outdoor showers, one solar-heated, complete the facilities. A spring-fed pond provides refreshment on hot days.

The site is open year-round for CSL members, and from 1 July to 31 August for day-visiting naturists. A valid FFN naturist licence for the current year is compulsory to stay there; the association can issue one on request to those who don’t yet have one.

An unclassified club site, Bos Redon applies a policy of moderate prices, in the spirit of making naturism accessible regardless of income, whether as a family or among friends.

What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Club site affiliated with the FFN. A valid FFN naturist licence for the current year is compulsory, issued on request by the association; nudity is practised on the part of the site dedicated to camping and outdoor activities.”

Facilities

🧺Washing machine
🎲Game room

The Bos Redon site runs on facilities managed by the association: a sanitary building built by members, with hot and cold water, and two outdoor showers, one solar-heated. A washing machine is available on site, for a small charge per wash.

On the pitches, electricity is available as an option, for a charge per night. The site’s old Limousin farmhouse serves as a reception and leisure room for members and day-visiting naturists, with an old bread oven preserved on site.

The site has neither a bar nor a restaurant: meals and evenings are prepared and organised collectively among members, such as the raclette evening or pumpkin soup that mark club life outside the season, in the Limousin farmhouse’s hall. A 10% discount on day and overnight rates is granted to members of the Fédération Française de Camping et de Caravaning (FFCC), and a tourist tax applies per night and per person, as at any campsite.

⚽Multi-sports pitch

The site has sports grounds, a volleyball court, a pétanque pitch, table tennis tables and games for children. The spring-fed pond offers a place to cool off on site, as the site itself has no pool.

The Club du Soleil de Limoges also organises swimming pool outings reserved for its members and FFN licence holders: on Sunday mornings at the Saint-Lazare pool in Limoges, and on Friday evenings at the l’Aïga Bluïa aqua-recreation centre in Saint-Junien, with access to leisure pools, a hammam, a sauna and a jacuzzi.

Association life sets the pace of the season at Bos Redon: hikes organised several times a year, site maintenance days among members, festive evenings and naturism discovery days in July and August, and the Fête de la Saint-Jean in mid-June. The club also takes part in inter-club weekends with other FFN-affiliated naturist associations.
