Domaine Riva Bella is located in the commune of Linguizzetta-Bravone, in Haute-Corse, 7 kilometres north of Aléria, on the east coast, between Bastia and Porto-Vecchio. The estate covers 70 hectares between the Mediterranean Sea and the Terrenzana lagoon, protected by the Conservatoire du littoral. At its heart, a forest of century-old holm oaks covers around 6 hectares.
The campsite has 199 pitches and 90 rental accommodations, spread between the heart of the maquis and the seafront. Access to the naturist beach is directly from the estate, with no road to cross. Most accommodation is eco-designed, each with its own character. The clientele is described as family-oriented, drawing from all walks of life: young couples, families with children, retirees and groups of friends.
Classified 4 stars, the estate has been a member of France 4 Naturisme since 1989. Naturism is practised here from 1 April to 5 November, in an atmosphere described as family-friendly, and the team supports newcomers discovering the practice. The estate also presents itself as welcoming to LGBTQ families.
Open without annual interruption since 1963, the campsite and its accommodation are accessible year-round, under the management of Marie Claire Gaddoni. The estate holds the European Ecolabel and Qualité Tourisme certifications, and provides dedicated fibre-optic internet for guests working remotely.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Naturism is practised from 1 April to 5 November, in a respectful atmosphere; the team supports newcomers discovering the practice.”
The seafront restaurant, open daily from 1 April to 1 November and then from Friday morning to Monday evening in winter, offers breakfast, half-board and full-board options. The grocery shop operates from May to October. The estate also has a laundry room (washing machine, dryer, ironing board) and a mail service at reception.
The 500 m² thalassotherapy centre, set directly on the sea, is presented as unique in Corsica: marine hydrotherapy, hammam, bio-sauna, massages with Corsican essential oils, seaweed wraps and face and body treatments. It is open daily from 28 April to 16 October, and from Friday morning to Monday evening the rest of the year. A sauna is freely accessible on the beach, daily from 4pm to 8pm, by sign-up.
Fibre-optic Wi-Fi is free across most of the estate, including in the accommodation and on the pitches. The renovated sanitary facilities are accessible to people with reduced mobility and include dedicated baby areas. Towels are not provided but can be rented at reception, 9 euros for a pack of three. It is also possible to come for a day visit without staying overnight, by first checking in at reception. Pets on a lead are allowed on the estate.
The Kid’s Club welcomes children from age 4 to 14, in July and August; teenagers may take part with the approval of the BAFA-qualified activity leader, and nudity is never required there. A fitness programme, led by a sports coach, runs from February to mid-December. Archery lessons take place from June to October, and yoga lessons in July and August. Creative activities, such as an introduction to watercolour painting, round out the estate’s sports offering.
The llama park, unique in Corsica, brings together, across around ten hectares, llamas that have lived on the estate since 1989; they help with the natural upkeep of the site and live alongside holidaymakers. A forest of century-old holm oaks, at the heart of the estate, lends itself to wooded, shaded walks.
From June to September, musical and dance evenings, as well as Corsican song and guitar nights, liven up the estate. Nearby, several hiking trails lead to villages in eastern Corsica, such as Cervione, around twenty kilometres away, or the Castagniccia region, as well as to the ancient museum of Aléria, a few kilometres from the estate.
Campsite and accommodation open year-round; naturism is practised from 1 April to 5 November.
