The Natura naturist campsite occupies the Domaine des Prés du Sart, at 1395 rue de Sivry in Beaurieux, in the Nord department, right in the heart of the Avesnois Regional Nature Park and just a few kilometres from the Belgian border. The site borders the Avesnois greenway, making it a convenient starting point for hiking, cycling or horse riding in a rural setting.
Set across 7 wooded hectares, the campsite offers 100 spacious pitches and carries a two-star tourism rating. The site is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Management requires every arrival to check in at the reception office, open from 9am to 6pm, before settling in: no stay can begin without this prior visit.
Naturism is practised here as a family, in a spirit of calm and respect for nature that the campsite upholds. The establishment is open from 1 April to 31 October, and also offers long-term annual pitch rentals to regulars.
By choice, in keeping with its “nature” focus, the campsite does not provide wifi on the pitches; a connection remains available near the office.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Naturism is presented here as a family experience, lived in harmony with nature. Every arrival must check in at the office before settling on the grounds.”
The pool, heated to around 24 degrees and measuring 10 by 4 metres, along with its large sun terrace, is accessible to all campers and included in the pitch rate, as are the hot showers. The campsite sells gas and canisters at the daily rate for campers equipped for gas.
The pitches, for tents, caravans or motorhomes, include electricity, water and vehicle parking. An annual pitch of around 100 m2, connected to a 6-amp supply, is offered to campers who wish to return throughout the season, with a surcharge for each additional person. Passing visitors, who are not camping, can access the site during the day for a fee per person and per vehicle.
A few older chalets, in need of renovation, are also offered for sale on site by their owners: an option for DIY enthusiasts who wish to settle permanently at Natura, though this remains separate from short-term rental.
The pitch rate gives access to the campsite’s sports facilities: tennis, badminton, beach volleyball and pétanque. Archery is also among the activities offered on the grounds. Seasonal activities and events are also organised by the campsite’s club, with further details shared with campers on site as the season progresses.
The site’s location, bordering the Avesnois greenway, encourages outings on foot, by bike or on horseback straight from the campsite, without needing a car. The Domaine des Prés du Sart describes itself as a preserved green corner of the Avesnois, a stone’s throw from the Belgian border, ideal for walking and discovering the surrounding nature.
The campsite’s large wooded plots, separated by hedges and undergrowth, also offer a peaceful setting for observing local wildlife and plants, amid sunny clearings and small ponds on the grounds.
Open from 1 April to 31 October.
