Overview

Village Naturiste La Chiappa covers 60 hectares of pine forest and maquis by the sea, on the road to Palombaggia, a few minutes from Porto-Vecchio, in southern Corsica. The estate faces the Cerbicale Islands, at the heart of the Bouches de Bonifacio nature reserve, close to the beaches of Tahiti and Palombaggia.

Open for over 50 years, the village practises a family-friendly, sociable form of naturism, with no licence or federation membership required. Nudity is mandatory on the beaches, at the pools and in the sanitary facilities, and strongly recommended elsewhere on the estate. Any voyeuristic or exhibitionist behaviour results in immediate expulsion, and photos or videos are forbidden without the explicit consent of the people involved.

The campsite, rated 3 stars, offers 270 unnumbered electrified pitches, allocated on arrival by an attendant; the holiday village, rated 2 stars, rounds out the offer with bungalows of 16 to 40 m² and air-conditioned villas of 55 to 85 m². Arrivals and departures are possible any day of the week.

The village is open from 1 May to 17 October 2026. The estate aims to be self-sufficient for the duration of a stay: accommodation, restaurants, activities and shops are all grouped on site, with no need to go out by car, and vehicles must in any case remain parked at the entrance car park.

What the site says about its approach to naturism: “No licence is required. Nudity is mandatory on the beach, at the pool and in the sanitary facilities, and strongly recommended elsewhere in the village; photos and videos are forbidden without the consent of the people involved.”

Dining is split between three establishments: Le Cerbicale, a restaurant and terrace bar above the beach, open from breakfast to dinner, with wood-fired pizzas in the evening and live music two or three times a week; the Bar-Plage, open from June to September with tapas, salads and grills; and the Snack bar, at the heart of the campsite, for paninis, sandwiches and breakfast. A supermarket offers fruit and vegetables, home-made bakery items, Corsican products, a wine section and beach goods.

The village has two pools with views of the sea and the Cerbicale Islands: a large 27-metre pool and a more intimate 11-metre pool, heated in mid-season. Both have a ramp for people with reduced mobility and are supervised by lifeguards, with aquagym classes every morning. The estate’s private beaches face the Cerbicale Islands. A sauna is set up by the beach, and a new beauty area offers facial and body treatments, as well as massages by appointment.

Practically speaking, four modern sanitary blocks, accessible to people with reduced mobility, are spread across the estate, with a baby area, washing machine and cool-box rental. Wifi, an internet terminal, a library, a safe and electric vehicle charging points round out the services.

The Hippocampe diving club, based in the village since 1981, runs two daily outings to the Cerbicale Islands, with try-dives and training for all levels from age 8, exploring a wreck and the seabed of the Bouches de Bonifacio reserve. The Watersport service offers windsurfing, sea kayaking, catamaran sailing, paddleboarding and, more recently, motorboat rental to reach the Lavezzi Islands. At the Ranch, Laurent offers horse rides between sea and maquis, with the horses bathing at Tahiti beach, and pony rides from age 4.

On the estate, three tennis courts, a padel court, a mini-golf course, several pétanque courts, a football pitch, beach volleyball and a street workout area are available, alongside daily yoga sessions by booking. The mini-club welcomes children aged 4 to 12 in July and August, with creative workshops and a visit from the Francesco circus.

A few minutes from the village, Porto-Vecchio and its beaches of Tahiti and Palombaggia are easy to explore, as are the Lavezzi Islands, a designated nature reserve, accessible by boat from the estate.
