Located in Gudas, in the Ariège, at the foot of the Plantaurel massif and the foothills of the Ariège Pyrenees, the Millefleurs naturist campsite occupies a green 26-hectare estate with open views over the Pyrenean mountain range. Open since 1991 and taken over in 2018 by Pascaline and Gaëtan, it presents itself as the only naturist campsite in the department, around thirty kilometres from Foix and less than an hour from Toulouse.
The site has 45 flat, grassy pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with or without electricity, as well as seven rental accommodations: mobile homes, Lodge tents and Coco Sweet tents. The campsite is rated 3 stars. Arrival is from 2pm and departure before 10am.
The naturism practised here is family-oriented and multi-generational: the estate promotes a friendly atmosphere open to couples, families and friends, away from mass tourism. Holders of a federation card benefit from a preferential rate depending on the length of stay.
The campsite is open from 1 April to 31 October; residential and seasonal pitches also allow a year-round presence, from 15 December to 15 November.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Family-oriented, multi-generational naturism, open to everyone with no licence required; holders of a federation card benefit from a preferential rate depending on the length of stay.”
Reception, open in the morning and afternoon, brings together several services: free Wi-Fi, deliberately limited to this common area to preserve the peace and quiet of the pitches, and a small library with a relaxation corner.
For food, Millefleurs keeps things simple: a snack bar offers quick meals and light bites, a friendly communal meal is organised twice a week, and fresh bread and pastries are delivered every morning. The estate has neither a bar nor a traditional restaurant.
For relaxation, the campsite has a heated pool, a Nordic bath and a traditional wood-fired sauna, accessible several times a week by reservation. A spacious sanitary block completes the facilities, along with an electric vehicle charging point.
Pets are welcome, holiday vouchers are accepted, and a caravan storage service is offered in winter for regular guests of the estate.
On site, holidaymakers can enjoy a pétanque court, a children’s playground and three naturist walking trails accessible directly from the estate, through forest and over the hills of the Plantaurel, ideal for wildlife watching and panoramic views of the Pyrenees. Cycling routes and drives also make it possible to explore the surrounding area of the campsite.
The Ariège, land of the Cathars, offers numerous excursions less than an hour away: Foix castle with its medieval keep, Montségur castle, a major site in Cathar history, the Bishops’ Palace in Saint-Lizier, the living village of the Forges de Pyrène, or the Parc de la Préhistoire. Cave enthusiasts can visit the Niaux cave with its prehistoric paintings, the Mas d’Azil cave, crossed by a river, or the underground river of Labouiche, 60 metres below ground.
The sulphur springs of Mérens round out the wellness offering, and day trips are possible to Foix, Mirepoix, Andorra, Toulouse or Carcassonne, even as far as the Mediterranean by combining mountains and sea.
Open from 1 April to 31 October.
