Domaine Devèze is in Gaudonville, in the Gers, in the heart of south-west France. Open since 1966, this naturist campsite carries a 3-star rating and presents itself as a place on a human scale, designed for a simple, restorative stay away from the crowds. Auch, the Gers prefecture, is about thirty kilometres away, as is Lectoure, an ancient spa town, and Fleurance, some fifteen kilometres away, known for its market dedicated to astronomy.
The estate covers twenty hectares, with around a hundred and twenty pitches separated by hedges, some shaded by trees and others in full sun, depending on preference. An ornamental lake of 1.7 hectares sits at the heart of the site, with an outdoor pool as the second focal point of communal life.
Naturism is practised here in a family-friendly, sociable spirit: the estate is affiliated with France’s naturist federations and puts the emphasis on calm, nature and respect for each other rather than intense group living. Accommodation ranges from bare pitches to mobile homes, chalets and furnished tents. Holidaymakers’ reviews regularly highlight the team’s warm welcome, the calm of the place and the cleanliness of the accommodation.
The 2026 season starts on 13 May. Bookings are made online, through the partner platform SecureHoliday.
The estate’s bar-restaurant offers a set menu and an à la carte selection, open every evening except Wednesday, aside from special theme nights. A launderette rounds out the practical amenities for longer stays.
On the accommodation side, Domaine Devèze offers several options: the mobile home, with its terrace and dining area, for a fuss-free stay; the equipped chalet, set a little quieter near the estate’s communal areas; and the furnished tent, for discovering the campsite without bringing your own equipment. Bare pitches, meanwhile, are chosen according to personal taste for shade under the trees or full sun, separated from one another by hedges that preserve the privacy of each setup.
The pool, a large basin at the centre of estate life, remains a year-round focal point for swimming and relaxing in the Gers sunshine. Table tennis, billiards and table football are freely accessible all day, to extend the evenings among holiday neighbours. For families, a playground, a trampoline and an area called the “Kids’ Kingdom” round out the freely accessible facilities throughout the stay.
Domaine Devèze’s activity programme is particularly full. Every week: a dressed walk around the estate on Monday morning (8 to 12 km through the countryside and stone villages), a leatherwork workshop, belote and tarot competitions, yoga, archery supervised by an FFTA-certified instructor, tchoukball, chess and stargazing sessions with a telescope, led by a certified guide.
The estate’s lake hosts an ongoing fishing competition, open to beginners and experts alike, while a beach volleyball court and a daily 6pm get-together bring enthusiasts together. Children aged 4 to 12 have their own club, every day except Wednesday, complemented by a teen club and dedicated evening activities.
Between 15 July and 15 August, Thursday evenings bring together a shared meal, concerts and shows under the trees. Communal barbecues on Saturdays, galette evenings on Sundays, a weekly pétanque competition, and a 2.5 km naked walk to explore the whole estate in one’s birthday suit.
Other events punctuate the week: a swimming race to see who reaches the far side of the pool first, chess, family board games on Friday evening, a dance night on Saturday, and a market to discover local produce, flavours and atmosphere during the stay.
