Overview

The Creuse Nature naturist holiday centre is located at the hamlet of Le Cheix, in the commune of Boussac-Bourg, in the Creuse department, in the Limousin region. The site lies around 350 kilometres from Paris, in an area with a temperate continental climate, with long summers that are rarely oppressively hot.

The estate covers 19 hectares of largely flat land, covered in grass and bordered by a pond where carp and water lilies can be found. It has 120 pitches, shaded or sunny depending on the area, and 28 rental accommodations spread between caravans, mobile homes, furnished tents, a chalet and an eco-house. The centre is rated 4 stars and also welcomes motorhomes, with a dedicated service area.

The naturism practised here is family-friendly and free of formalities: no naturist card is required at the entrance, and solo visitors are welcome. Guests are a mix of families, spa-goers and regulars, in a spirit of tolerance that allows, for example, older children to keep a swimsuit on. The site is easily accessible for caravans and motorhomes, and also has sanitary facilities and accommodation adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Creuse Nature is open from 11 April to 30 September. Reception is open from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm in July and August, and from 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm the rest of the season. The centre is run by Marie and Emmanuel Leplé.

What the site says about its approach to naturism: “No naturist card is required to visit, even alone. Naturism is practised here in a spirit of tolerance: older children who prefer to keep a swimsuit on are welcome.”

The heart of the estate is built around “Chez Nous”, the recently renovated restaurant hall, where a daily menu is served every evening. The baker delivers every morning from 1 April to 1 October, and a small grocery store stays open all season for everyday shopping. The bar and its terrace complete the offer, with a library and a games library available to holidaymakers.

On the wellness side, the sauna is free to access every evening from 4pm to 9pm, and massages are offered throughout the season, from 11 April to 30 September. The Nordic bath, kept heated at around 40°C at all times, offers a relaxing moment under the stars.

Two heated pools are freely accessible: a round, indoor pool, popular for swimming as well as aqua gym, and an outdoor pool with a shallow section designed with children’s safety in mind. A paddling pool, fed with filtered water heated via the indoor pool, welcomes the youngest visitors. The estate’s pond, home to carp, is suited to fishing and quiet contemplation.

The campsite also offers a washing machine and a dryer, a freezer for ice packs, bed linen and fridge rental, and charging points for electric cars. Wifi has been free across almost the entire site since 2025, thanks to fibre optic.

The campsite has a volleyball court, a football pitch, a table-tennis table, a pétanque court and a mini-golf course. Two golf courses can be found nearby for enthusiasts.

Yoga, aqua gym and line-dancing classes punctuate the week, run in part by an instructor who welcomes both beginners and experienced dancers. Concerts and a weekly open-mic evening, where holidaymakers share their musical talents, round out the programme. Themed weeks are organised around nature in June, music in mid-August and hiking in September.

During school holidays, particularly in July and August, several activities are offered to children: circus workshops, crafts, games in the forest and, every evening, half an hour of reading before bedtime. Themed playgrounds are dotted around the estate.

The campsite’s pond is suited to fishing, and the surrounding paths invite hiking and cycling through the rolling landscapes of the Creuse. The village of Boussac, reachable on foot, brings together shops, restaurants and a market. About fifteen minutes away, the Pierres Jaumâtres and their adventure park overlook the valley; the Creuse valley, known as the “école de Crozant”, inspired painters such as Monet. Montluçon is 35 minutes away, and Aubusson, the tapestry capital, a little further still.
