In Paulhiac, in the commune of Monflanquin in the Lot-et-Garonne department, on the edge of the Périgord noir, Domaine Laborde covers 20 wooded hectares of gently rolling land, at 310 chemin de Laborde. The estate presents itself as a naturist area between the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne, on the doorstep of the Périgord.
Rated 4 stars, it has 125 pitches of 100 to 200 m² for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as 36 rentals split between wooden chalets (Simple, Sympathique, Confortable and Familial), mobile homes (Agréable and Premium) and nature tents. The mobile homes, finished with wood cladding, were renovated in 2020. Two spring-fed lakes complete the grounds.
The naturism practised here rests on respect for physical and moral conduct, ruling out any form of exhibitionism or provocation. Swim shorts are not allowed around the pools, where nudity is required of all holidaymakers.
The estate is open from April to the end of September, with the outdoor pools in operation from mid-May to mid-September. In high season, reception welcomes arrivals from 8:30am to 7pm. Holidaymaker reviews, several hundred in total, give it an average rating of 9.17/10.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Naturism here rests on respect for physical and moral conduct, ruling out any form of exhibitionism or provocation. Swim shorts are not allowed around the pools.”
The estate brings together a restaurant focused on local produce, a snack bar, a pizzeria and a fresh bread shop, complemented by a bar with a terrace and a small grocery store so guests can complete their shopping without leaving the campsite.
Five pools make up the water area: a heated indoor pool of around 72 m², subtropical in style, with a sauna, a cold-water bath and a hammam; two heated outdoor pools with slides and a jacuzzi; and a paddling pool with a slide for the youngest visitors. Two spring-fed lakes round out the swimming options. The sauna and hammam are free to use, and massages are available by appointment.
Wifi is available across the estate, along with a laundrette. Pitches, from 120 m², have access to electricity and water. Reception is open from 8:30am to 7pm in high season. A deposit of €100 is required to rent an accommodation.
The estate offers tennis and volleyball courts, a pétanque pitch, table tennis and archery. A children’s playground with activities, a games room and a library round out the offering for quieter days.
Fishing and canoeing take place on the estate’s two spring-fed lakes. The area, between the Lot and Dordogne valleys, is well suited to hiking and cycling along rolling roads dotted with typical villages of the Périgord and the Agenais, and a riding centre lies around 3 km from the campsite for horseback outings.
The town of Monflanquin, a bastide founded in the 13th century and listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, can be visited close to the estate. Lot-et-Garonne and the neighbouring Dordogne count numerous other castles and bastides within reach of the campsite, on the doorstep of the Périgord noir.
