On the Chemin de Prade, in the town of La Palme, in the Aude, between Narbonne and Perpignan, Le Clapotis naturist campsite belongs to the SOCNAT group, which operates it under the Tohapi-naturiste brand. The estate covers more than 6 wooded hectares and has 247 pitches equipped with electricity, amid the vineyards of Fitou.
The campsite has a private beach with direct access to Lake La Palme, a spot well known among windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts thanks to the Tramontane and Marin winds. Accommodation includes a small house, several ranges of mobile homes (Cosy, Classic) for 4 to 6 people, furnished tents (Cabane Tithome, Tente Nature Lodge) and bare or powered pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes.
Naturism is practised here as a family: on arrival, each holidaymaker signs a naturist-attitude commitment, and nudity is compulsory at the pool. Teenagers, often more self-conscious about these rules, are supported without naturism being imposed on them, and wearing a sarong remains tolerated during entertainment activities. Naturist clubs based on site also welcome beginners and explain the customs of the place to them. The campsite is open from 28 March to 27 September for the 2026 season.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “A naturist-attitude commitment is signed on arrival; nudity is compulsory at the pool but experienced at everyone's own pace elsewhere, and teenagers may wear a sarong if they wish.”
Reception, recently renovated, is open from 9am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 7pm in July and August, with reduced hours out of season. The grocery shop sells bread, pastries, regional produce, fruit and vegetables, olives and everything needed for aperitifs, while the bar serves breakfasts, cocktails, soft drinks, wines and tapas, with themed evenings (karaoke, dance nights, 80s parties, concerts).
The La Paillote restaurant offers a light menu until 1pm, followed by an evening service from 6 to 10pm, with a simple menu prepared on the terrace; grills, paella and mussels and chips regularly feature at themed evenings, and a children’s menu is available. A wellness area offers massages by appointment, either on site or at the practitioner’s home 2.2km away.
Internet access, available across almost the whole campsite, is free for the first 60 minutes and chargeable afterwards, online or at reception. The laundry, equipped with professional washing and drying machines, is paid for directly by card and provides eco-friendly detergent, so nothing is forgotten.
Le Clapotis is above all a windsurfing and kitesurfing spot, open to beginners and experienced riders alike thanks to the Tramontane and Marin winds on Lake La Palme. On site, the campsite also offers a multisport pitch (handball, basketball, volleyball), a mini-tennis course, a pétanque court, trampolines, two table tennis tables and five outdoor fitness stations, with competitions organised several times a week.
Several hiking routes, from 6 to 20km, set off from the campsite through vineyards and reed beds, passing an old mill, Roman washhouses and the ruins of the fishing village of Glabanel, up to a viewpoint over the La Palme salt marshes and the Mediterranean. Holidaymakers also organise mountain-bike outings several times a week, notably towards the village of Roquefort-des-Corbières or a 57km loop around Lake Bages; bike hire is available on site.
The Corbières and Minervois, with their vineyards, also invite exploration of Lagrasse Abbey, the Cathar citadels of Peyrepertuse and Quéribus, or the medieval city of Carcassonne.
Open from 28 March to 27 September 2026.
