Les Manoques is a 4-star naturist campsite at Valeilles, in the Tarn-et-Garonne, on the edge of the Quercy blanc and on the borders of the Lot and Lot-et-Garonne, on the road linking Agen to Cahors, about 20 km from Villeneuve-sur-Lot. The site, which its managers Fabienne and Xavier describe as a peninsula connected to the rest of the world by a short driveable track, covers 14 hectares of oak forest, at an altitude of around 219 m.
The estate has 66 pitches of 110 to 300 m², shaded or sunny, as well as around sixteen rental units split between mobile homes, chalets, lodge cabins and canvas bungalows. Nature and relaxation are the watchwords here, in a family spirit that the campsite claims as its trademark, even out of season: according to regulars, this particular atmosphere can be felt as soon as you pass through the entrance gate.
Naturism is practised here in a friendly, family atmosphere rather than in an overly regulated setting: the website makes no mention of any licence requirement for visitors. The campsite is suited to people with reduced mobility, with a dedicated rental unit and sanitary block, making it an address accessible to as many people as possible.
The campsite is open from June to September, with reception staffed from 8am to 11pm.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Naturism is lived here in a friendly, family spirit, with no licence requirement for visitors. The whole estate, both pitches and rental accommodation, is reserved for the practice of naturism.”
The menu at Les Manoques’ snack bar ranges from the classic burger to mussels and chips, not forgetting duck confit, a South-West speciality of course; in season it is supplemented with dishes of the day, tapas at themed evenings and appetiser platters. A good part of the menu is also available without animal protein for vegetarian holidaymakers, right down to the artisan ice creams and homemade desserts. The snack bar opens from 8am, with bread and pastries every morning from the first Sunday in July; a small shop rounds out the offer from 8am to noon.
The relaxation area brings together a sauna and a jacuzzi, free to use every day from 5pm to 8pm, as well as an outdoor pool. Qualified practitioners offer osteopathy, plantar reflexology, Californian massage, sports massage and Tui Na massage.
Reception welcomes holidaymakers from 8am to 11pm. The campsite provides a shared freezer, fridges for daily hire and a washing machine with detergent tablet included. Wifi is free around the snack bar and entertainment hall; a TV room, library, billiards, table football and table tennis complete the communal areas. Pets are allowed throughout the campsite, and accepted in rental accommodation only in the canvas bungalows.
Les Manoques offers tennis, archery, volleyball and pétanque, as well as organised hikes to explore the surrounding area on foot. A gym and fitness room rounds out the offer, alongside billiards and table tennis available in the common room; a library and a TV room are added for quieter days.
In season, themed evenings set the pace of the week: karaoke, concerts and campfires liven up the campsite, extending the tapas and appetiser platters served at the snack bar. Courses are also organised by reservation, including an introduction to sign language led by Xavier, one of the managers: no particular prior knowledge is needed, the focus is on practice and conviviality rather than performance.
