Les Etangs de Saint Pancras covers 3.5 hectares between the villages of Betoncourt-Saint-Pancras and Dampvalley-Saint-Pancras, in the Haute-Saône, in the southern Vosges, at the heart of the Mille Étangs region. The estate is organised into three areas: la Prairie, around the reception buildings, le Revers, in the woods, and la Vignotte, wilder in character, spread around four ponds.
Rated 4 stars and holder of the Camping Qualité label since 2019 (renewed in 2024), the establishment has around thirty pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as wooden cabins and unusual accommodation. Its eco-friendly approach is particularly strong: a planted filter system, dry toilets, LED lighting, solar power and waste sorting, recognised with the FNHPA’s sustainable development trophy in 2022 and then the SETT Ecology Award in 2024.
The campsite is affiliated with the French Naturism Federation (FFN) and also carries the Dutch Prettig Bloot label. Full nudity is recommended whenever the weather allows, with respect for everyone; the site rules prohibit any voyeuristic or exhibitionist behaviour.
The campsite is open from 1 May to 27 September 2026, with online bookings possible from 1 December 2025. A single night’s stay is accepted on a bare pitch, including weekends; for rental accommodation, it is only possible from Monday to Thursday.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Full nudity is recommended whenever the weather allows, with respect for everyone; the rules prohibit any voyeuristic or exhibitionist behaviour. Campsite affiliated with the French Naturism Federation (FFN).”
At reception, open from 8.30am to 8pm, a mail service and a small shop help out with essential items. The snack bar, which holds a category IV licence, serves drinks with or without alcohol and meals; bread and pastries, made in partnership with local bakeries, are available from 8.30am when ordered the day before. For more complete shopping, the surrounding villages (Vauvillers, Fontenoy-le-Château, Corre, Saint-Loup, Luxeuil, Vesoul, Bains-les-Bains, Plombières) offer the necessary shops.
Wellbeing takes a real place here: a wood-fired sauna for 4 to 6 people offers a view over the first pond, a massage lounge works with partner practitioners, and an outdoor fitness area rounds out the offer. A 22 kW electric vehicle charging point, as well as a bike charging point, are also available; a washing and small repairs area is reserved for cyclists.
The estate’s four ponds invite swimming, as does the crescent-shaped pool, 11 m long by 6 m wide and 1.20 m deep: unheated, it feels like a Nordic bath. A landscaped beach, fitted with sun loungers, borders one of the ponds. The sanitary facilities in la Prairie include a shower area, a dry toilet for children, a changing table and a baby bath, suited to families and people with reduced mobility; other pitches are also accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Nature lovers practise carp fishing in the ponds, boat, pedal boat or kayak trips, and observe the wildlife and plant life of the surrounding woods. The wooded paths of le Revers and la Vignotte, right by the campsite, are well suited to short walks before joining the longer routes across the Mille Étangs plateau. The campsite holds the Home Vélo label and is close to the Voie bleue V50, which links Luxembourg to Lyon.
The region offers a wide choice of hiking, cycling and horse-riding routes, as well as cultural sites and wellness moments in the nearby spa towns, starting with Luxeuil-les-Bains. A selection of routes is suggested directly at reception. Nature-themed activities are organised through the summer season, announced on the campsite’s Facebook page.
Without a car, the train stations of Vesoul, Remiremont and Bains-les-Bains serve the area, with a taxi service by booking; buses also run to Saint-Loup-sur-Semouse, Vauvillers and Aillevillers. Carpooling is encouraged: the campsite team picks up new arrivals within a 20 km radius.
Open from 1 May to 27 September 2026.
