Overview

The Club Naturiste en Albigeois (CNA) runs La Couliche, a rural campsite with six pitches in the hamlet of Lincarque, in the commune of Cestayrols, in the Tarn (81150). The site sits at the centre of the tourist triangle formed by Albi, Cordes-sur-Ciel and Gaillac. The club follows in the tradition of the Clubs du Soleil, founded in 1944 by Albert Lecoq, and is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026; it is approved by the Fédération Française de Naturisme.

The campsite presents itself as “almost wild”: no tarmac, no lighting at night, no swimming pool, no restaurant, and a reception that is not open continuously. It is reached via a dirt track that runs down to a patch of woodland, facing due south. In return, hot showers, clean toilets, well-kept grassy paths and a starry sky free of light pollution make it a sought-after spot for its peace and quiet. The site has been classified as an LPO bird sanctuary since autumn 2024, in keeping with naturism’s respect for nature.

The site welcomes both passing campers and CNA members, subject to booking by the day before at the latest; a discovery day is even offered free to non-members, then charged 5 euros on following days. Annual membership, taken out in November for the following season, costs 100 euros per person and gives members priority access. The club maintains a balance between men and women, and couples and families naturally find their place there.

What the site says about its approach to naturism: “A club affiliated with the Fédération Française de Naturisme, practising a family-friendly and convivial naturism. Non-members are welcomed for the day (free the first time, 5 euros thereafter), and passing campers without membership, subject to booking.”

Facilities

📶Free wifi
🧊Fridge rental

Rates combine a per-person fee with a per-pitch fee: expect 25 euros for a couple in a motorhome (15 + 10 euros), 7.50 euros for a lone camper, or 15 euros for a group of two to three people in the same structure. The pitches, all grassed, come with a free electrical hook-up; motorhomes under 6 metres are accepted. Electricity, wifi, the shared fridge-freezer and pets are free, as is the stay for under-18s.

Three types of accommodation round out the offer: a small caravan (2 people, 140 cm bed, a desk corner for remote work, no kitchen, for 20 euros), a large vintage caravan called “Digue” (4 people, two separate beds, fridge, suited to families, for 25 euros), and a fully equipped yurt (2 people, 140 cm bed, lounge area and table, for 30 euros); for these three, guests must bring their own bed linen. A 50% discount applies from the second week of stay onwards.

On site, the sanitary facilities include two hot showers, two toilets, two washbasins and a double sink. Sun loungers, chairs and tables are provided for lazing about. In 2026, to mark the club’s 50th anniversary, a voucher equal to the value of a first stay is offered towards a second stay within the year, excluding accommodation.

Activities & entertainment

🎯Petanque
🥾Hiking

Petanque is presented by the club as “the ideal activity for naturist afternoons”, rounded out with card games and siestas in the shade of the trees. An “Evasion” offer, built on an ultra-fast fibre internet connection, also makes it possible to spend a day working remotely in the middle of nature.

The CNA organises a monthly Sunday meal, prepared by members according to whatever inspires them and open to all naturists on the site subject to sign-up; five dates are planned for 2026, from April to October. Walking and cycling tours around La Couliche and from Gaillac train station are offered, with a bike-hire partner; some take place in the nude, such as the vineyard “randonue” on 7 June 2026, organised for the club’s 50th anniversary. 800 metres from the campsite, the Château de Lacroux vineyard offers a free tasting in its cellar every day except Sunday.

The site, classified as an LPO bird sanctuary since 2024, is home to a biodiversity the club is proud to showcase: the close-cropped meadow pitches are covered in wild orchids in May and June, while the wilder wooded area is home to birds, insects, reptiles and small mammals.
