LPC Naturist Accommodation & Camping is a small naturist site run by a British couple, Kim and Steve, on a farm of around two hectares in Colombiers-du-Plessis, in the Mayenne, near Gorron. The site combines an old farmhouse renovated into a guest room, a farm campsite and a glamping pod, in a quiet rural setting.
The site is adults only, with no children, and offers optional clothing: nudity is never compulsory here. Guests of all nationalities are welcome, in a friendly atmosphere the owners have kept up for more than a dozen years.
The campsite has six pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with access to electricity. A guest room with a private hot tub and small pool, plus a glamping pod also fitted with a hot tub, round out the accommodation on offer.
The property keeps the feel of a real farm, with hens, sheep, a cat and a dog, along with seasonal fruit and vegetables grown on site.
LPC is open from May to the end of October, with off-season visits possible on request. The campsite is around five minutes from Gorron and about twenty kilometres from Mayenne.
What the site says about its approach to naturism: “Adults-only site, clothing optional: nudity is never compulsory here. No children.”
The wellness area combines a large outdoor hot tub and an above-ground pool, plus a terrace with a barbecue, in private gardens around the farmhouse. The main guest room has its own hot tub and small pool, and the glamping pod also has a private hot tub.
Wifi is available across the whole property. Breakfast is served every morning, and a communal meal brings guests together at least once a week; evening meals can also be ordered on request.
The shower and toilet facilities are shared between the camping pitches. Kim and Steve, who speak English and French, welcome holidaymakers of all nationalities and are happy to share their knowledge of the area, its activities and walking trails.
The farm grows its own seasonal fruit and vegetables, offered to guests, and keeps hens, sheep, a cat and a dog, which add to the rural atmosphere. Free parking is available on site, with an electrical hook-up for motorhomes and caravans.
The site suits above all a quiet stay on the farm: walks among the animals, relaxing in the hot tub or pool, meals shared with the owners and other guests, or simply lazing in the private garden.
The area around Colombiers-du-Plessis offers several walking routes, such as the Renaudies circuit, a large loop of around 10.5 kilometres, or the Petite Sévinière circuit, which runs alongside the Graffardière pond, a popular picnic spot. These paths also follow the Ernée, a small tributary of the Mayenne, through the sunken lanes typical of the area’s hedgerow countryside.
Local heritage can be discovered along the way: the Gauberdière mill has kept its waterwheel, and the village’s restored, flower-decked old wash house dates from the nineteenth century.
A little further afield, Lake Haute-Mayenne at Ambrières-les-Vallées and the pilgrimage town of Pontmain round out the outing options, as does the town of Mayenne, about twenty kilometres away.
Open from May to the end of October.
